The Jordan Spizike, once exclusively available for export, has recently resurfaced in an official image, signaling an imminent revival. As preparations are underway for the debut of the low-top version in 2024, Tinker Hatfield's design is set to kick off the New Year with a tribute to the Year of the Dragon. Following the recent releases of Dunk Low LX and Air Jordan 1 Low OG, the Jordan Spizike Low takes center stage in the Chinese New Year celebrations. The hybrid silhouette boasts a similar color palette, primarily featuring a crisp white background on the upper. Dragon scale textures adorn the olive-toned fenders at the toes and heels, while light blue tones grace the quarter pull ring and mid-foot window. Additionally, the wings inspired by Air Jordan 4 and the tongue structure reminiscent of AJ 6 showcase a enduring deep Burgundy and "Team Red" finish that extends along the foot's tread.
The Jordan Spizike Low "Year of the Dragon" pays homage to the lively Year of the Dragon in shades of sail white, oil green, deep team red, light grey, and cedar green. The sail white leather body, coupled with dragon covering on the toes and heel, echoes the Dragon theme. A deep red hue embellishes the support wings, tongue, LACES lock, and lining, extending all the way to the rubber outsole. The gold brand on the special insole adds a touch of luxury, enhancing the Chinese New Year celebration. The design is completed with a white midsole, a visible Air cushion on the heel, and a unique packaging shoebox for each pair.
Taking inspiration from the Air Jordan 5 as the prototype, the Jordan Spizike Low Year Of The Dragon combines the Air Jordan 3 midsole and outsole, featuring a familiar green explosion crack covering the surface. The side of the shoe incorporates the eye piece of Air Jordan 4 and the stable logo details of the dark team red triangle. The iconic hollow tongue of Air Jordan 6 is adorned with white LACES. The base of Jordan Spizike Low Year Of The Dragon is predominantly white, with olive guard on the toe and heel showcasing dragon scale texture for added vibrancy.
